„Orphans of the Storm“ is a 1921 silent melodrama film by D. W. Griffith, based on the 1874 historical play „Les deux orphelines“ by Adolphe d’Ennery and Eugène Cormon.

In the midst of the turmoil of the French Revolution, two orphaned sisters – one who is blind and the other who fiercely looks out for her – find themselves ripped apart by the harshness of the world around them. Each sister battles through the violence and excess of a society on the brink of collapse, holding onto the hope of reuniting. Their journey is filled with peril, betrayal, and surprising acts of bravery as they race against time to find each other.
