„Lorraine of the Lions“ is a silent film and adventure film from 1925 by Edward Sedgwick based on a screenplay by Isadore Bernstein & Carl Krusada and a story by Isadore Bernstein.
A ship carrying a travelling circus troupe sinks at sea and Lorraine, a young girl, washes up on a desert island. Her only companion is a gorilla from the circus, Bimi, who raises her as his own child. Several years later, Lorraine’s wealthy grandfather, who has hired a psychic to find her, is led to Lorraine’s island by the psychic, and she and Bimi are brought back to „civilisation“ in San Francisco, but things don’t go quite as planned.

Ein Schiff mit einer reisenden Zirkustruppe sinkt auf dem Meer, und Lorraine, ein junges Mädchen, wird auf einer einsamen Insel angespült. Ihr einziger Begleiter ist ein Gorilla aus dem Zirkus, Bimi, der sie wie sein eigenes Kind aufzieht. Einige Jahre später wird Lorraines wohlhabender Großvater, der einen Hellseher beauftragt hat, sie zu finden, von diesem zu Lorraines Insel geführt, und sie und Bimi werden in die „Zivilisation“ nach San Francisco zurückgebracht, aber die Dinge laufen nicht ganz so wie geplant.
