Quatorze ans après la Commune de Paris, le passé est loin d’être oublié.

Un jeune homme venu de province fait son apparition avec un étrange appareil et confronte d’anciens communards à des souvenirs qu’ils ont tenté de refouler. Ce qui commence comme une manifestation ravive rapidement les fantômes de 1871 – ainsi que la violence de la répression qui s’ensuivit.

Réalisé par Joris Clerté en collaboration avec l’historienne Laure Godineau, « La Boîte noire » est un court-métrage d’animation français sur la Commune de Paris, la mémoire politique, le traumatisme et la persistance du passé.

Mêlant fiction historique, animation 2D et surnaturel, le film se concentre moins sur les événements de la Commune elle-même que sur ce qui s’ensuivit : les survivants de la « Semaine sanglante », l’exil, la déportation, les camarades disparus et le fardeau de maintenir vivante dans la mémoire une révolution vaincue.

Unter der Regie von Joris Clerté und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Historikerin Laure Godineau entstanden ist „La Boîte noire“, ein französischer Animationskurzfilm über die Pariser Kommune, politisches Gedächtnis, Trauma und die Hartnäckigkeit der Vergangenheit.

Der Film verbindet historische Fiktion, 2D-Animation und Übernatürliches und konzentriert sich weniger auf die Ereignisse der Kommune selbst als vielmehr auf das, was danach kam: die Überlebenden der „Blutigen Woche“, Exil, Deportation, verlorene Kameraden und die Last, eine besiegte Revolution in der Erinnerung am Leben zu erhalten.
