« Babatoura » est un court métrage comique noire primé réalisé en 2021 par Guillaume Collin, d’après un scénario de Tania Gagné.

Un souper de « bienvenue dans la famille » qui se transforme peu à peu en prise d’otages : sans les otages, ou peut-être pas.
Benoit et Catherine, un couple d’une vingtaine d’années, vont dîner chez ses parents. C’est avec surprise et appréhension qu’ils apprennent que toute la famille est invitée à souper et que la soirée peut ne pas se dérouler comme prévu.

« Babatoura » (Prix du meilleur court métrage international au Festival du film de Turin 2021) parle de la famille qu’on ne choisit pas, du silence qui en dit plus long que mille mots, et d’un souper dont on ne peut peu à peu plus s’échapper.

A “welcome to the family” dinner that gradually turns into a hostage situation—without the hostages, or maybe not.
Benoit and Catherine, a couple in their twenties, are going to dinner at her parents’ house. They learn with surprise and apprehension that the whole family is invited to dinner and that the evening may not go as planned.

“Babatoura” (Winner of the Best International Short Film Award at the 2021 Turin Film Festival) explores the family we don’t choose, the silence that speaks louder than a thousand words, and a dinner from which, little by little, there’s no escape.

Benoit und Catherine, ein Paar in den Zwanzigern, gehen bei seinen Eltern zum Abendessen. Mit Überraschung und Besorgnis erfahren sie, dass die ganze Familie zum Abendessen eingeladen ist und dass der Abend möglicherweise nicht wie geplant verlaufen wird.
