What is beauty? “powder” is a live performance with video projection that tells the story of the pain and pleasure of dressing and undressing the female body. “powder” explores the power of beauty, the bound female body, the safety of conforming, the comfort of discomfort and the perpetuation of the exaggerated femme by females themselves. “powder”as premiered in NY at the Joyce SoHo.
