I campi di grano bruciati e infiniti nel cuore della Sicilia. Ino è un contadino che vive all'ombra di un enorme impianto eolico e deve affrontare la malattia di suo padre, un uomo attaccato a un respiratore artificiale il cui ultimo desiderio è quello di sfuggire al silenzio e vedere la neve per la prima e ultima volta. Ino non vuole rassegnarsi alla decisione di suo padre. Mentre la terra intorno a lui brucia lentamente, cercherà di difendere il mondo che ha costruito per suo padre fino a quando il fuoco non raggiungerà la sua terra. Un fuoco che forse non è più distruttivo, ma liberatorio.

Ino ist ein Bauer, der im Schatten einer riesigen Windkraftanlage lebt und mit der Krankheit seines Vaters konfrontiert ist, einem Mann, der an ein Beatmungsgerät angeschlossen ist und dessen letzter Wunsch es ist, der Stille zu entfliehen und zum ersten und letzten Mal Schnee zu sehen. Ino will sich mit der Entscheidung seines Vaters nicht abfinden. Während die Erde um ihn herum langsam verbrennt, wird er versuchen, die Welt zu verteidigen, die er für seinen Vater aufgebaut hat, bis das Feuer sein Land erreicht. Ein Feuer, das vielleicht nicht mehr zerstörerisch ist, sondern befreiend.

The burnt, endless wheat fields in the heart of Sicily. Ino is a farmer who lives in the shade of a giant wind turbine, facing the disease of his father, a man attached to a ventilation machine, whose last desire is to escape from stillness and see the snow for the first and last time. Ino will not resign himself to his father’s choice. While earth around him is slowly burning, he will try to defend the world he has built for his father, until the day the fire arrives in his land. A fire that may be no longer destructive, but liberating.
