‘The Final Option’ is a 1982 action thriller film directed by Ian Sharp. The screenplay by Reginald Rose is based the 1981 novel ‘The Tiptoe Boys’ by James Follett, which in turn rests upon an initial synopsis of the Iranian Embassy siege from 30 April to 5 May 1980 on Prince’s Gate in South Kensington, London, created by George Markstein.
