“Tars and Stripes” is a 1935 short comedy film written and directed by Charles Lamont, screenplay by Ewart Adamson.

Apprentice sailor Elmer Doolittle is completing his training at the U.S. Navy’s San Diego Training Station. It seems he’s attracting trouble. This is mainly due to Chief Gunner Richard’s girlfriend, who appears to have set her sights on Elmer.
