“Fury of Achilles” (L’ira di Achille) is a 1962 historical drama film directed by Marino Girolami from a screenplay by Gino De Santis. The film is set in the ninth year of the Trojan War and based primarily on Homer’s Iliad.

In the tenth year of the Trojan War, tensions between Achilles and Agamemnon divide the Greek camp, giving hope to the Trojans.
Under the walls of Troy, only the intervention of Achilles and Patroclus saves the Achaean troops from the assault of the Trojan army. But Achilles soon retreats to his tent and refuses to fight: he has just returned from Lyrna, where he was insulted by Agamemnon over two beautiful slave girls.
